We are pleased to introduce X-Guide™, a revolutionary system that extends the capabilities of our cone beam system for simplified and more accurate implant procedures. X-Guide boasts dynamic 3D navigation that delivers interactive, turn-by-turn guidance giving us the ability to improve the precision and accuracy of your implant POSITION, ANGLE and DEPTH.
Featuring a live, 360-degree single-view of drill position and anatomy during surgery, X-Guide allows us to confidently transfer your 3D treatment plan to you. X-Guide also makes same-day guided surgery a reality.
iTero Digital Impression System.
If you have ever had impressions taken of your teeth, you know how difficult and messy the process can be. That’s why if you need dental implants we will lessen the discomfort and improve efficiency with digital impressions. We use a more convenient digital scanner that saves you from the sticky impression material in a tray, holding your jaw open waiting for it to harden over your teeth, and finally the uncomfortable suction when the tray is removed. Instead we offer the 3D intra-oral scanning technology of the iTero® digital laser scanner.
3D Cone Beam Scanner
Employing powerful computer technology and low radiation doses, our ProMax 3D CT (CBCT) system cone beam scan givesus accurate three-dimensional information in order to discusses your condition and plan your surgery. CBCT allows us to obtain images of the skull and jawbones in a relatively short period of time (approximately 10-15 seconds). This information can then be used to evaluate you in a way that was previously only possible with expensive medical CT scans. With the ability to identify vital anatomic structures such as nerves and blood vessels, we will plan the best possible treatment while decreasing the risk of complications.
We use this leading edge technology in planning surgery involving dental implants, complex extractions, trauma, reconstructive procedures, tumors and cysts, and infections. We are proud to be the first and only providers in the region to offer this technology for our patients.
While we do not obtain a CBCT on every patient, we do evaluate each patient on an individual basis to determine the benefits that may be obtained with a CBCT.
What is CBCT used for?
- Dental Implant Planning
- Impacted Teeth
- Orthognathic (Corrective Jaw) Surgery
- TMJ Analysis
- Airway Studies
- Maxillofacial Pathology
What are the advantages of CBCT over other X-ray images?
- Lower radiation dose than traditional CT
- Shorter scan times
- In -office availability
- Reduced cost
- Ability to identify vital structures such as nerves and blood vessels
- High resolution
- Extremely accurate images
- Ability to make surgical guides directly from the CBCT image
